The study was conducted by Pérola Grinberg Plapler et al. in 2016.

Aim: To study and compare the efficacy of Toradol and Naproxen in the treatment of acute lower back pain.

Procedure: The study was conducted on people suffering from lower back pain for a duration of 10 days.

Two groups were prepared and were assigned daily dosages of Toradol and Naproxen.

The dosage of Toradol was 10 mg three times a day, while the dosage of Naproxen was 250 mg three times per day.

The study's primary aim was to study the efficacy by observing the reduction in lower back pain.

Dosage:

Toradol

The duration of therapy should not be more than 5 days.

Injectable dosage: 30mg single dosage intravenous or 60 mg single dosage intramuscular. The maximum dose should not exceed 120mg.

Oral Dosage: 20 mg once after intramuscular or intravenous therapy. The maximum dose should not be more than 40mg per day.    

Naproxen

Immediate-release oral tablet: The normal dosage is 500-1000 mg daily in 2 dosages. The maximum daily dosage is 1500 mg.

Delayed-release oral tablet: The normal dosage is 375-500 mg, given two times a day. The maximum dosage per day is 1500 mg.
